The M12 Adapter allows 100Mbit(Cat5/5e) devices to be connected with Gigabit-cabling(Cat6A) systems. Ethernet capable devices, which need no Gbit Ethernet, normally are equipped with M12 D-code connectors. But new installed Ethernet cablings are already based on X-code technique (4 pairs). The Provertha adaptor is combining both to work together via plug&play without further installation expenses.
